Who doesn’t like to save money? If you have known me long enough you already know I love a good deal. The only thing I probably like more than saving money is shopping. Seriously, I’m pretty sure the “Shopping is my Cardio” t-shirts were made just for me. So when I can combine shopping and saving money it is music to my ears. Plus, I’m pretty sure if you are reading this you likely feel the same way and that is why I am sharing my go-to apps, websites, and browser extensions for when I’m shopping online and in-store. You can take advantage of these saving during the holidays and year-round.
Every recommendation below is completely free to download and use. There is absolutely no catch to using these apps.
Rakuten (Formerly Ebates)
This is one of my favorite sites to use of the five that I have shared with you and probably my most used. I have the app on my phone and the plugin downloaded to my browser. I have gotten so much value from Rakuten. You were probably like me at one time and saw the commercials and just never really took it seriously. Looking back I could kick myself for not signing up sooner.
How does Rakuten work?
Rakuten gets a commission from stores when you make a purchase, and instead of keeping it, Rakuten shares it with you. There are several ways to take advantage of Rakuten’s cash-back savings. You can find the store on rakuten.com, click “Shop Now” and shop like normal on the store site, or what I prefer to do is download the browser plugin and you can click the “Activate Savings” button when you are making eligible online purchases. Using the plugin saves you an extra step. After you make an eligible purchase, you’ll earn cashback and get a check or PayPal payment every quarter. The payment type depends on what you choose when setting up your account.

Honey
Honey is another great way to get coupon codes when shopping online to get gift cards. I also love to use their price drop tool.
How Does Honey Work?
Honey is a free browser extension that searches for some of the best deals on the internet. One-click and Honey automatically search for and tests available coupon codes at checkout on 30,000+ popular sites. If they find a working code, then you can apply the one with the biggest savings to your cart. Honey can even search for better prices on Amazon. You can even earn rewards just for shopping on participating sites (even if there isn’t a coupon code available).

Ibotta
Ibotta is another great site and app that offers cash-back savings. I mainly find myself using Ibotta when I am shopping online or in-store for grocery and household items.
How does Ibotta Work
Step 1: Download the Ibotta app and complete the registration
Step 2: Go shopping at a supported retailer
Step 3: Redeem eligible offers in-store or online
Step 4: Get cash back

Fetch
Fetch is probably one of the easiest to use and I highly suggest it even if you are not looking for the best deal. This is an easy way to get gift cards to places you already love to shop.
How does Fetch Work ?
Step 1: Simply upload your receipts to the app to earn gift cards.
That is literally it. Shop as you normally do and when you get a receipt submit it on the app. Plus, you can also earn points from your Amazon purchases. All you have to do is link your account to the app.

Capital One Shopping (Formerly Wiki Buy)
I like using capital one shopping for coupon codes, its price comparison, and to of course earn gift cards. Note, you don’t have to have a Capital One card to use this browser extension.
